Did I say October?

Yeah, I think I did, but as it turned out, October was a very exciting, stressful, horrible, happy, and busy month! Things have finally slowed down and I'm ready to get this blog off the ground.

I'm borrowing a template from Leelou's Free Blog Layouts, link above and to the left, until I get the graphics I want done for this blog.  I like this template, so I probably won't be in a rush.  I'm not a graphic artist and know nothing about them, and it's one of the things I've been stressing about until I decided that's not the important part of this blog!

I should have my first review posted sometime tonight or tomorrow morning, and I will probably tweek or edit it a little until I figure out exactly how I want to do my reviews.  I'm going for a goal of one review per week right now, with more if I get to read more!

I've started posting my new blog address in a few places around the web, so if you stop by, please feel free to leave a comment or follow me through Google Friend Connect.

I am reading, writing some reviews to have ready ahead of time, and with everything else going on in my life, I'm still planning to post my first review on the first Friday or Saturday of October, with a giveaway sometime in the first two months if I have 50 or more bloggers. Sound good?  I'm going to start easy with about one review a week.

Just an FYI, I am trying to avoid having a certain genre "stuck" to my blog, because while I do read a couple of genres more than others, I don't read only those books. I read mostly fiction and novels, with maybe the occasional scandalous biography thrown in!

Also, if you have any recommendations of upcoming books that you would like to see reviewed, please let me know! I aim to please!  Well, to please some, because we all know that we can't please everybody!

Another need--a quick refresher on HTML! It's been years since I've had a web page online (remember Geocities? ha!) and I'm a bit rusty.
